Pitch Bull, Rio de Janeiro, 2006
The muscle boys of Ipanema. Known locally as Pitch Bulls. Tattooed and sweat-soaked, glistening in the midday sun. The clank hot barbells and dumbbells. But beneath all that I just saw beauty and vulnerability. And in this shot, melancholy. Because beneath the machismo and posturing, these are Carioca boys.
