Paint Cans, Mexico City, 2013

Osmani was painting a mural in a neighbourhood on the outskirts of Mexico City. A famous street artist, he was giving something back to the community that raised him. A community that had lost many sons and daughters. When I saw his spray cans, I thought they looked like candles. Like a vigil. Perhaps it was.
